The ARCHS’ “Building Nonprofit Partnerships in St. Louis:Prisoner Reentry Services” presentation was held January 27 at the St. Louis Public Library. Dozens of reentry partners from the area gathered to learn from one another on ways local nonprofits can work together to find and build resources for ex-offenders.
Whether it was nonprofits already in existence or ones looking to form in the near future, ideas were shared with one another on reentry topics. After the presentation, most stayed to mingle and share ideas in small groups and one-on-one.
ARCHS works with the U.S. Department of Justice and Labor and area nonprofits on reentry issues. In 2009, ARCHS was one of the first organizations in America and the only one in Missouri to receive Second Chance Act reentry funding.
ARCHS is providing strategic support to the St. Louis Alliance for Reentry (STAR) through a grant from the Lutheran Foundation of St. Louis.
